LA MINIMIZACIÓN DEL ERROR DE PREDICCIÓN ES EL OBJETIVO PRIMORDIAL DEL CEREBRO EN LA PERCEPCIÓN:

NUESTRA RELACIÓN CON EL MUNDO A TRAVÉS DE LOS SENTIDOS:
- Lo que finalmente percibimos no es el resultado de un proceso de abajo-arriba a partir de la estimulación de los órganos receptores. Este proceso y esta información, proporcionan más bien el feedback para el modelo interno del mundo: "The rich representation of wordly states of affairs is signalled in the top-down predictions of sensory input, maintained by the perceptual hierarchy in the brain" (Hohwy 2013, p. 47)
SOBRE EL CONTENIDO Y EL ASPECTO FENOMENOLÓGICO DE LA PERCEPCIÓN:
-"...[P]erceptual content is the predictions of the currently best hypothesis about the world [...] The hypothesis with the least error is the hypothesis that determines perceptual content [...] and this hypothesis is internal, subject to statistical decisions and expectations of noise, and different from the hidden causes" (Hohwy, p. 48).
-"The predictions of the internal models that determine perception are supervised by the world" (Hohwy, p. 49).
